Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home, Somerset
If you’re an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader or existing Deputy Manager looking for more responsibility, greater involvement in the running of a home and a clear opportunity to progress your career, this could be an excellent next move.
This is a varied leadership role combining management, administration and direct care. You’ll work closely with the Registered Manager, helping to lead the team, maintain high standards and ensure the home provides a safe, supportive and genuinely child-centred environment.
You won’t spend every day behind a desk. Some days will focus on management, supervision, compliance and care planning; others will see you working directly alongside the team and the young people within the home.
Most importantly, you’ll play a key role in creating a home where children feel safe, listened to, respected and supported.
As Deputy Manager, you’ll sit between the Senior Residential Support Workers and Registered Manager, providing day-to-day leadership and operational oversight.
You’ll support the Registered Manager across the running of the home while developing your own management experience and progressing towards your Level 5 qualification.
£35,535 rising to £36,035 after successful completion of probation and £37,035 once Level 5 qualified
